Cape Epic 2015: signed Women’s jersey

Few winners’ jerseys capture quite as much history as the 2015 Cape Epic Women, signed by the winning team of Annika Langvad and Ariane Kleinhans (Lüthi), who recorded three Epic wins as a partnership.

Annika has five Cape Epic victories to her name, from just five attempts. Two other pro riders also have five victories each – Christoph Sauser and Karl Platt – but they took 10 and 13 starts respectively to achieve those wins.

Ariane, too, has five Cape Epic victories, with two of those coming in the mixed category.

A noteworthy feature of Annika and Ariane’s victory in the 2015 Cape Epic is that they recovered from a one-hour penalty due to a wrong turn on Stage Two, which makes the win even more impressive.
