Enormous congratulations to all the Olympians especially our Specialized family

17 Aug 2012

There has been such a void since the closing of the 2012 London Olympics on Sunday evening. The last two weeks have been anything short of exciting and nail-biting as the 2012 London Olympics unfolded with all the excitement and drama that comes with such prestigious sporting events. There were so many athletes who we watched eagerly as they took part in their respective events from Ashleigh Moolman Pasio who raced in the ladies road race, to the quasi South African, Jan Frodeno in the triathlon event, Sifiso Nhlapo who race BMX and Burry Stander and Jaroslav Kulhavy who raced in the mountain biking cross country event.

The performances of each of these athletes made us exceptionally proud to be associated with them. They show us how much hard work, commitment and dedication goes into becoming a professional athlete and then how much more is required to become an Olympian. Watching them participate in such grueling races against the very best in the world in their very best condition was just incredible and enormous inspiration.

At the same time, on Sunday 12 August 2012, all the way across in the USA our Christoph Sauser was racing in the Leadville 100miler endurance mountain bike race dominating the high altitude mountains and finishing 2nd to Alban Lakata. Well done Susi!

Well done to you all, your hard work, tenacity and devotion has really paid off. We hope you get to enjoy some much deserved rest and celebration now.

Thank you for all your incredible support and the inspiration you provide to all of us!
