The track is now complete - it has been “rolled” and is ready to rock! Stellenbosch has had some bad weather forecasted over the weekend, so we will probably only be able to get out there next week and give the track a go.

Bikes will be built up next week.

Songo is introducing Odwa to the project - Odwa lives in Kayamandi and will be responsible for the running the daily activities and seeing to the well-being of the kids, the bikes and the track!

Fencing is in the process of being finalised and the container will be in place next week.

We have permission from the Stellenbosch Municipality to paint our very own “temporary bill board” so we can thank all our sponsors and donars to the project - look out for the art work on the building next to the track.

We will also be planning an official launch of the track - details will be posted on this website, as well as www.daisyway.co.za

Once the fencing is up etc. we will publish the “rules and regs” to ensure the track is able to be used by the BMX community - remembering that riding on the track is at your own risk.

Meanwhile, Christoph Sauser has arrive in Italy for a big weekend. It is the World Championships for Marathon Mountainbiking. As you know he is having a cracker season having just won Worlds for XC. Let see if he can do it two years in a row…
