Litha and I are going to do the ABSA Cape Epic in hope of raising funds for Ulutsha Olunombono. Ulutsha Olunombo (youth with vision) is the youth group that I have started last year in July. The aim of starting this group is to address the challenges that are faced by the youth in Kayamandi and start to talk about them and to try and find out the way they see things and the way they view life in general and talk about it. We want to address the following: Crime, HIV/AIDS, unemployment, Teenage pregnancy, dropping out in school, how can we keep Kayamandi clean, How can we make Kaya-Mandi a better place for all.

We also try to create opportunities for the youth to do some thing. We have had Miss Spring 2007, Clean up Kayamandi and we had talks with the people in Kaya-Mandi about keeping Kaya-Mandi clean and we help to organised the world AIDS day in Kayamandi on the 01-12-2007. Plan for the year is to have more events that are initiated by the youth and to have camps where we can have the whole weekend outside kayamandi and talk about these problems and get solutions and into invite people with influences to come and talk with the youth and share their stories with the youth.

We are also planning to go and visit the youth in other Provinces and see what are they doing with their lives.
